American Shorthair - Small - Baby - Male - Cat - Kitties
Description
These adorable 10 week old, beautiful, strikingly contrastywide tiger striped kittens are such furry little things. They are so playful and fun to watch interacting with each other and their toys. To them, everything is a toy! There are two black kits and two gorgeous tiger striped siblings. You should adopt two at a time, because all kittensneed a buddy to play with while you are busy. Adopt A Rescued Pet, Inc. does home visits prior to adoptions, therefore, we can only adopt to Citrus County and adjoining county areas. IF you are within these areas, please, Phone AARPI at 795.9550, leave your name, number and pet's name, for the foster mother to return your call later. Check www.adoptarescuedpet.com for our other pets and the ADOPTION CALENDAR with locations, dates and times. Come see the petsat our weekly pet adoption at Inverness Pet Supermarket, rt. 44, 11-2 PM. All of our cats will be sterilized when old enough, tested leukemia-aids negative, on flea prevention, up to date on vaccines, wormed, ID chipped and vet checked. AARPInc. is a non-profit organization, which operates on donations and volunteers, so your donations are tax deductible. We have no paid employees, at all, not to answer the phone, no paid directors, etc, so all of your donation goes to help the animals. All of our pets are fostered individually, in our homes. Often our older pets, and others, need more vet care than we dare ask for in their adoption donation requests. Veterinarian costs are skyrocketing. This financial gap needs to be filled by public donations, yard sales, an occasional company grant, holiday wrapping money raisers, an annual dog walk, or a special raffle. If you would like to help with some of those vet bills, in order for us to continue to help more animals, please, send your donation to AARPI, P.O. Box 1613, Homosassa Springs, FL, 34447. Thank you.< 'WHY NOT FREE?' WHY ARE AN APPLICATION, HOME VISIT AND ADOPTION DONATION REQUIRED? 1. Pet rescues have learned that people do not value something that is free and/or easy to get and consider it more easily disposable. 2. Ethical rescues spay or neuter, give shots, heartworm tests, and provide a loving environment for pets while they wait for their permanent homes. Keep in mind that non-profit rescues are not funded with tax dollars to pay these expenses, but are private organizations, operated by volunteers and donations. Adoption donations do not always cover all expenses, with many of the pets, but do help to defray much of the cost. Consider if you were to take a pet to the vet to be altered, receive health vaccines, etc. What would this cost you? 3. There are always people looking to take 'free' animals, to be used for laboratory research, bait for fighting dogs, exotic pet food, or even the next meal on their table. Hopefully, our process helps to keep this from happening. WHEN YOU GET HOME WITH YOUR NEW CAT: Put your new cat in another room with it's own litterbox, and the door closed. The cats will be able to sniff each other under the door without either getting agressive. When the cat seems interested in coming into the rest of the house, partially open the door to it's room, allowing it to retreat back into the room as it feels the need to. Have a spray bottle of water in hand in case there is more than hissing when they meet, you can break up the first few new encounters.
